The Labor Department on Wednesday said its preliminary benchmark revision anticipates a 95,000-job, or 0.1%, increase to March 2017 employment. The final benchmark revision will be issued in February.
Each year, the employment estimates are benchmarked to comprehensive counts of employment for the month of March, drawing on state unemployment-insurance tax records.
